Making the envelope box with Stampin Up Envelope Punch Board.

Happy New Year! Sorry I have not been on for a few days but we have been busy with Christmas and family time as I am sure most of you have too!  I have had a request to show you how to make the envelope box in my recent post. This box will hold at least 4 cards with envelopes so it makes a very nice gift.

Start out with a 9 1/4 x 9 1/4 square piece of cardstock. You will need the Envelope Punch Board  which is item # 133774 and sells for $19.95.

Line your paper up at the 3 1/2 inch mark.
Punch and score at this measurement.

Move the paper to the 4 1/2 mark.
Punch and score at this mark.

Repeat this procedure on the opposite side of the paper. Punching and scoring at both 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 marks.

Next we will do the other two ends.
Position the little pointer on one of the score lines.
Punch and score.

Next move to the next score line using the little pointer as your guide.
Punch and score again.

Turn your paper and repeat this procedure on the opposite side.

You can now crease  your score marks
A little hint.
Fold your creases in on the "lump or raised" side of the creases. Your paper will tear less especially if you are using Designer paper.

Next snip the little tab on the bottom part of your box. This will allow you to fold these tabs in. Do this snip on both sides of the box.

This shows both sides snipped and folded in.

I like to snip the top tabs completely off but you can just snip them and fold them in like the bottom if you wish.

Next round your top and bottom points of your envelope/box using the backside of the punch.
This is a great tool! So clever of Stampin Up to add this feature. No need to have another punch. Awesome.

Next apply Sticky Strip on the two side flaps. Peel off protective layer and fold.

Yah!! You have your finished project! You can cut your tab to be even with your sides if you like that look better.

Enjoy!
