Cute Gift Card Holders

Well the Christmas Holidays are fast approaching and everyone is looking for gift ideas. Sometimes it is nice just to give a gift card for that someone who is maybe a little harder to shop for. Wouldn't it be fun to put the gift card in a cute little Buckled Envelope. I saw a fellow demonstrator make this and thought it was so cute.  So lets get started.

Using our new Envelope Punch Board (which if you don't have yet, is a must have! so many fun ways to use it..and remember I am offering FREE shipping until the 20th on any order of $40 or more)
Cut a 5 x 5 piece of Real Red cardstock.
The measurements are all on the front of the Punch board which is super nice.

Next line the paper up at the 2 inch marking. Punch and then score. Flip the paper around and do the exact same thing. Punch on the 2 inch and then score. On the two opposite ends, you will line the little tab up on the score line and then punch . Do this on both sides.

Using the opposite end of the punch, round the top tab. This will be the top of your envelope.

Fold your envelopes on the score lines. Your paper will stay stronger if you fold in on "bump" side of  your score line. You will notice on the flap of your envelope, the tip is a little to long. Just snip off the tip of this to be even with the sides. I used  our sticky strip to hold the sides together but you can use our glue sticks or snail adhesive.

Next I cut a strip of 8 1/2 x 3/4 inch black paper. I wrap this around the envelope to get a crease. Don't wrap it to tight because you will want to be able to slide it off and on. Overlap it in the front of the envelope and place adhesive to keep secure.

Next using our Artisian Label punch and our dazzling silver paper, punch out the buckle.
I also used the 3/4 inch square punch and punched out a black square to make it look like the belt was going through the buckle. Glue the glitter paper onto the black belly ban making sure you only glue in the middle so that it will not stick to the envelope. I used Mini Glue dots on the little 3/4 inch square black to adhere to the glitter paper because our snail doesn't stick the best to the glitter paper.

Here I have use two different punches for the buckles.
The first one here is using the Label Bracket sold in our Holiday mini catalog on page 37 which can be sold as a bundle stamp set too for a 15% savings.
The second one is using the Artisan punch sold in the larger catalog on page 181.

I will be making some of these cute Gift Card Holders and selling at our local Vendor event this next Friday, the 13th in Osakis from 5:30 - 8 along with other gift ideas.
Remember I am offering FREE shipping on all order of $40 or more. $60 order gets free shipping plus a $5 gift Certificate.

Enjoy the Season and Happy Stampin!
